Terms of use · plain English
The handshake between you, your story, and the booth.
These are the rules of the room. They’re short because MoneyTakCukup is small, and they’re plain because legal jargon never made anyone feel safer. By using this site, you agree to what’s below.
What MoneyTakCukup is
MoneyTakCukup is an anonymous storytelling space for Malaysians carrying debt, paired with a private, in-browser debt health calculator. It’s currently operated by an individual, not a registered business entity. A formal entity may be established later.
We’re not a bank, a lender, a financial advisor, an AKPK counsellor, or a mental health practitioner. We’re a place where Malaysians read each other’s debt stories and feel slightly less alone.
Submitting a story
Submissions through the share form are anonymous. We don’t ask for a name, IC, or email next to the story itself. By submitting, you confirm:
- The story is yours — not a copy of someone else’s.
- You’re not naming, doxxing, or targeting any specific person, business, or lender by identifiable detail.
- You’re not pretending a fictional account is a real lived experience.
- You’re not using the booth for harassment, scams, solicitation, recruiting for ah long, or anything illegal under Malaysian law.
- You’re okay with us publishing your story as written, or with minor edits for clarity and safety (we don’t rewrite the meaning).
Moderation and approval
Every story is reviewed by a human before it appears on the wall of stories. Approval is at our discretion. We may approve, reject, or ask for light edits. Rejection is usually about safety (doxxing, scam content, harassment, content that names a third party) — not moral judgment about debt.
Rejected stories are not stored long-term. We don’t keep a moderation archive of things we said no to.
Removing your story
If you’ve already submitted and you regret it — even after approval — email hello@moneytakcukup.com. Give us enough detail to identify the story (a line you remember writing, the rough date, the tags you chose) and we’ll take it down within a reasonable window. No questions asked.
The debt calculator
The debt calculator is informational only. It’s a private estimate, not financial advice. The numbers it produces aren’t a regulated assessment, a credit score, or a substitute for talking to a qualified person.
Always confirm any number against your own bank statements, loan letters, and PTPTN portal. If your debt feels unmanageable, the people equipped to actually help are AKPK (free debt counselling and lender negotiation, 1-800-88-2575) or a licensed financial advisor.
Sharing and reposting
Approved stories appear on the wall of stories and may be shared as image cards on our Instagram and other social channels. Those cards never include personal identifiers — only the story text and the coarse tags you chose at submission time.
You retain whatever rights you have in the words you wrote. By submitting, you grant MoneyTakCukup a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and share the story (with the metadata you attached) on this site and on social media. That licence ends the moment you ask us to remove the story.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it up, accurate, and respectful, but we don’t guarantee uptime, freedom from bugs, or that every approved story is perfectly proofread. Treat the stories as lived perspectives, not as audited facts.
Liability
MoneyTakCukup is not liable for financial, legal, medical, or life decisions made based on what you read here, including the calculator output. Stories on this site describe one person’s experience; they’re not a forecast of yours. If you’re in crisis — emotionally or financially — please reach out to the resources listed on every page.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update this page when something material changes and bump the “last updated” date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
